Software Engineer - Multi-Agent UAV Autonomy
Build and validate multi-agent UAV autonomy development tools for defense customers, spanning simulation, training, mission planning, and real-aircraft deployment. The role requires 5+ years of engineering or equivalent research experience, hands-on UAS or multi-agent control expertise, and strong English customer communication.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core features for multi-agent autonomy development tools, including mission planning, coordination, and training workflows.
- Build and validate reference multi-agent UAV autonomy, exercising workflows from simulation through deployment on real airframes.
- Define simulation, tuning, and validation workflows and help close gaps between simulated and real flight behavior.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based product and engineering teams on shared roadmaps.
- Contribute to system-level design and architecture, with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Lead technical discussions with Korean defense customers, translate operational requirements into product specifications, and provide roadmap input.
- Guide customers developing multi-agent unmanned systems with the tools.
- Mentor engineers and share domain knowledge across the Korea team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience or equivalent research experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.
- Hands-on experience developing unmanned aerial systems, including building and flying real aircraft, or researching or engineering multi-agent optimization and control algorithms.
- Experience with machine learning methods such as reinforcement learning for multi-agent coordination, where applicable.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with complex, multidisciplinary projects in collaborative teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to lead customer-facing technical discussions, elicit requirements, challenge assumptions, and explain design trade-offs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across both unmanned aerial systems development and multi-agent optimization and control.
- Familiarity with flight-control stacks and autopilot software such as PX4 and ArduPilot.
- Familiarity with ground-control and data-link components of complete unmanned aerial systems.
- Experience with ATR, drone swarming, path planning, or aerospace control systems.
- Experience building simulation platforms, machine-learning training infrastructure, or developer tooling for robotics, autonomy, or defense applications.
- Experience with closed-network or air-gapped defense deployments.
- Professional fluency in Korean.
