Responsibilities
- Own the Arena blog end to end using Next.js, Sanity CMS, content models, publishing workflows, and author-facing templates.
- Build and maintain marketing pages for products, features, resources, careers, and campaigns within the shared design system.
- Improve the public leaderboard frontend, including tables, charts, filters, and experiences that make evaluation data easy to understand.
- Optimize public surfaces for performance, accessibility, indexability, Core Web Vitals, SEO, structured data, and internationalization.
- Build CMS models and internal publishing tools that enable marketing and content teams to make copy changes independently.
- Work across a product codebase by reading APIs, extending routes, and following request lifecycles.
- Communicate tradeoffs with designers, marketers, and engineers and iterate on shipped work.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, primarily in production frontend development.
- Portfolio or shipped work demonstrating high-quality public pages, such as marketing sites, content sites, or data-dense product interfaces.
- Deep proficiency with React, TypeScript, Next.js, and CSS.
- Ability to implement complex layouts, motion, and responsive designs precisely.
- Sufficient full-stack experience to work in a product codebase; backend specialization is not required.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ownership of shipped surfaces.
- Interest in AI evaluation and Arena's mission.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Sanity or Contentful, including content modeling, structured data, and live-site operations.
- Experience with leaderboards, data tables, charts, ranking interfaces, or dense filterable tables.
- Experience with SEO, Core Web Vitals, structured data, or JSON-LD.
- Experience using Motion, GSAP, or CSS animation with restraint.
- Experience driving work from a marketing or design brief through production without a dedicated product manager.
