Electrical Integration Engineer

Design and integrate automotive electrical harnesses and distribution systems, verify hardware, debug issues, and coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Requires a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least four years of automotive wire harness and electrical integration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and debug routing and retention of harnesses, cables, and connectors for ease of assembly, serviceability, and robust functionality.
  • Perform hardware verification of built boards to confirm correct functionality.
  • Debug hardware issues by probing test points and establishing root cause.
  • Manage 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings for low-voltage, high-voltage, and high-speed vehicle interconnects using SolidWorks and Altium.
  • Interface cross-functionally to drive program delivery.
  • Work with OEMs, vendors, and partners to identify wire harness solutions for the vehicle platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Hardware, Computer Science, or an equivalent program.
  • 4+ years of experience in automotive wire harness design and electrical integration.
  • Experience designing harnesses for low-voltage and high-voltage applications.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards such as ISO 6722 and SAE J1128.
  • Ability to source, manage, and maintain vendor and supplier relationships for harness manufacturing and materials.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Capital and CATIA.
  • Experience with CAD design, including 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with harness crimping and end-to-end assembly of electrical test benches for system integration and validation.
  • Experience with model development and simulation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive product development systems and design disciplines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present to wider audiences.
