About the role
What You'll Own
The product roadmap for Sharp's coach platform, both as the backend powering our mobile app and external services, and as a standalone product used by coaches to manage their caseloads, schedules, and member interactions.
The coach-facing product experience: partnering with coaching ops to understand their workflows, shipping tooling that scales their impact, and making the platform the system of record for coach work.
The platform/API layer powering the mobile app and external service consumers. You'll define service contracts, SLAs, and the roadmap for capabilities downstream products depend on.
The dual mandate: making tradeoffs between coach-facing product investment and platform/API work, and sequencing the roadmap so neither audience gets starved.
Success metrics across both surfaces: coach productivity, throughput, and satisfaction on the product side; reliability, latency, and time-to-integrate on the platform side.
A full-stack product development team (one Engineering Manager and 4–6 offshore engineers), coordinating agile development ceremonies to drive continuous product delivery.
Authoring and reviewing technical documentation: PRDs, Linear projects and tickets, API documentation, GTM plans, and internal communications throughout the product development lifecycle.
A seat at the table for Product team planning, strategy discussions, and long-term vision.
Your First 90 Days
Complete a full operational handoff from the current SPM, taking ownership of all in-flight initiatives, relationships, and decision rights.
Build trust with coach ops leadership and establish a regular feedback loop with frontline coaches.
Create tight coupling with downstream and customer dev squads by establishing shared roadmap rituals and a clear interface for cross-squad asks.
Who Thrives Here
5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2+ years on a platform, API, or infrastructure product.
Prior ownership of an internal or operations-facing product (e.g., agent tooling, ops consoles, CSM platforms, coach tools).
Demonstrated AI fluency: deeply fluent in the Claude Code ecosystem and broader AI tooling, actively keeping up to date with the latest in AI development practices and integrating them into your work.
Experience working with frontline operator users and translating workflow insight into product.
A track record of partnering deeply with engineers: empathetic, direct, and able to drive tight collaboration models.
Sprint craft—you scope, sequence, and unblock work in fast-moving cycles, and you write specs other people actually want to read.
Mission pull: you're energized by the chance to serve first responders, military, and other high-stress professions.
Nice to Have
Direct experience building tools for frontline ops users (coaches, CSMs, agents, clinicians).
Experience with calendaring, scheduling, and matching problem sets.
Technical fluency: reads code, designs APIs, and debates architecture credibly with senior engineers.
Hands-on familiarity with our stack: PHP, Laravel, PostgreSQL.
Product analytics experience with PostHog or Mixpanel.
Fluency with Linear, Notion, Figma, and Claude.
Why Join Sharp
Huge ownership: you'll own a product that's both a foundational platform powering our mobile app and external services AND a standalone product used by Sharp's coaches every day. Your decisions compound across every member, every coach, and every downstream squad.
Clear path to grow: direct visibility with leadership and a path to Group PM or Director as the platform org expands and the product surface grows.
