Flight Test Intern
Flight Test Interns validate software, hardware, wireless systems, and flight platforms through regression testing, data collection, debugging, and feature verification. The role requires UAS experience, Part 107 certification, Linux familiarity, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Conduct smoke and regression tests to ensure system reliability.
- Perform daily testing on the master branch to maintain software quality.
- Improve the end-to-end Skydio Dock experience by identifying and resolving issues with engineers.
- Support validation of new software features for customer-facing applications.
- Identify and communicate product limitations early in the development cycle.
- Verify software updates for a stable, reliable flying platform.
- Collect flight data for competitive benchmarking.
- Execute wireless testing on new software and hardware platforms.
Requirements
- Background in software and hardware testing.
- Part 107 certification.
- Strong debugging skills for hardware and software systems.
- Practical experience with unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
- Understanding of UAS subsystems and real-world performance.
- Basic mechanical and electrical systems integration knowledge.
- Experience operating Linux-based systems.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Interest in spending time outdoors.
Nice-to-haves
- sUAS pilot license.
- Experience testing web-based applications.
- Wireless testing experience.
Compensation
- $41/hour for students.
- Compensation varies based on skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience.
