The Media Monitoring Specialist validates coverage, writes editorial summaries, manages search strategies, and produces media analysis and dashboards for clients. The role requires media-content experience, strong analytical and communication skills, English plus another European language, and proficiency with Excel.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Validate print, digital, and broadcast media content against client briefs and editorial guidelines.
  • Produce accurate, timely media monitoring content, including concise article and story summaries in English from English or other European languages.
  • Build and maintain search queries and keyword strategies.
  • Set up and maintain client projects and workflows with Customer Support, Sales, Editorial, and other teams.
  • Monitor service quality and escalate delivery risks or issues.
  • Produce reports, dashboards, and presentation materials using established templates.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes.
  • Extract, analyze, and manipulate data with Excel and Power BI.
  • Deliver client-facing media analysis with clear narratives and actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to analytical projects involving media datasets and research methodologies.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation and project information.
  • Stay current with media monitoring, analytics, and data visualization trends and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements

  • Experience with media content, content validation, editorial summaries, or media monitoring.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English plus at least one additional European language.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Google Search and online research tools.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience building search strings, Boolean queries, or media monitoring searches.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, or client presentations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including macros or automation.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with media analytics, editorial workflows, or customer reporting.
  • Interest in media intelligence, journalism, communications, or data storytelling.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and delivery.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Gross monthly salary in Bulgaria: approximately €1,700–€1,900.
