PR Director, EMEA

Responsibilities

  • Build a PR and Communications function from the ground up, including hiring PR managers and agencies in key territories.
  • Implement PR and corporate communications strategies aligned with organizational goals, values, and brand positioning across internal and external audiences.
  • Partner with PR, marketing, sales, and external stakeholders to craft clear, compelling messaging and materials.
  • Develop and execute rapid-response communications capabilities in each region.
  • Oversee executive speaking engagements, industry conferences, customer events, and internal leadership gatherings.
  • Integrate AI into communications workflows to enhance content ideation, creation, and scaling.
  • Oversee and optimize the EMEA communications channel ecosystem, including earned media, owned channels, executive communications, and employee engagement tools.
  • Lead cross-functional EMEA storytelling initiatives, amplify customer success stories, and elevate executive thought leadership.
  • Use data-driven insights and audience research to inform communications strategies.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications on crisis and issues communications preparedness and response, coordinating with legal, executive leadership, and functional teams.
  • Serve as the central communications hub, ensuring consistency between internal communications, external PR, marketing narratives, and executive messaging.

Requirements

  • 12–15 years of experience in in-house corporate communications, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or AI environment.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience hiring, onboarding, and managing PR agencies.
  • Experience with pre-IPO communications.
  • Experience or strong interest in policy and regulatory communications.
  • Exceptional writing skills and the ability to distill complex topics into compelling narratives.
  • Experience advising senior leaders, executives, and people or human resources teams.
  • Strong organizational, process, and project management skills.
  • Creativity across communications formats, channels, and storytelling.
  • Ability to navigate organizational dynamics and build relationships across all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Based in Europe, ideally in the UK, Germany, or France.
