Responsibilities
- Guide strategic customers through the full lifecycle of Databricks on Azure platform administration, from architectural design through production deployment.
- Architect secure, scalable enterprise deployments using Azure networking, identity, and security controls.
- Advise on Microsoft Azure infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, cloud networking, and identity management.
- Support Solutions Architects during complex technical sales cycles by building Azure proof-of-concept architectures and technical content.
- Deliver tutorials, conduct hackathons, speak at conferences, and contribute to the Databricks open-source community.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in a technical role with deep Microsoft Azure expertise, including cloud security, networking, and enterprise data platform design.
- 5+ years of experience with distributed architectures and big data technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as pre-sales, post-sales, or consulting.
- Deep expertise in at least one of Azure security and identity, networking and deployments, platform administration, or infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Python, Java, or Scala, plus strong SQL proficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to meet role-specific training and technical delivery milestones within the first 6 months.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.

- Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer.
Compensation
- Local pay range: $180,000–$247,500 USD.
- Total compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
