Claims Manager
Manages severe cyber, technology, and media insurance claims, including litigation, coverage analysis, reserves, vendor coordination, and settlements. Requires at least four years of relevant claims experience and strong communication skills, with German or French legal qualification and cybersecurity expertise preferred.

Responsibilities
- Handle intake of severe cyber events, coordinating with breach counsel, forensic investigators, and other vendors.
- Evaluate pending claims and recommend accurate reserves.
- Handle litigation, including third-party liability arising from security failures or data breaches, as well as Media and Tech E&O claims.
- Maintain accurate file documentation and information in the claims system.
- Assess liability, damage data, and insurance coverage issues in complex claims.
- Guide and track third-party vendors and service providers, including their work and spending.
- Maintain and develop relationships with brokers, insureds’ risk managers and general counsels, and vendors.
- Identify settlement opportunities and collaborate in the defense and resolution of claims.
- Provide data- and reason-based assistance to underwriters.
- Support business development through marketing, client presentations, and sales discussions.
- Liaise daily with partner carriers.
- Lead client engagement, including tabletop exercises delivered by Coalition or vendors.
- Ensure the global claims team is regularly aware of and trained on claims-handling concerns in Germany and other EEA countries.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience handling cyber, technology, and/or media claims and litigation.
- Ability to work as part of a team, interact effectively with others, meet goals, and perform successfully in a changing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and able to excel in a collegial environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Legal qualification in Germany or France.
- Experience handling broader financial lines claims, including D&O.
- Cybersecurity investigation background.
