Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate commercial agreements including API licensing, enterprise SaaS, model access and deployment, partnerships, vendor agreements, and NDAs
Support US and EU commercial transactions, primarily US deals, and advise on German corporate law
Partner with GTM, Marketing, FDE, Infrastructure, and Finance teams to provide legal guidance
Advise on AI-specific legal considerations: IP ownership/licensing, training data rights, generative AI regulations
Develop scalable legal frameworks, contract templates, playbooks, and approval workflows
Engage and manage outside counsel on complex matters
Contribute to compliance and legal operations initiatives
Requirements
7+ years legal experience in commercial transactions in technology sector (in-house and/or law firm)
Experience with US and EU commercial deals and cross-border transactions
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Low ego, high accountability
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with AI/ML, developer platforms, or foundational model licensing
Exposure to generative AI products
JD from accredited law school and active US bar membership (UK/EU qualification preferred)
Familiarity with German corporate law, EU AI Act, GDPR, AI/data regulations

Base Annual Salary: $200,000-$275,000 + Equity
