About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations and post journal entries as part of the monthly close.
  • Process accounts payable, including entering vendor bills, verifying approvals and coding, and preparing payment runs.
  • Manage accounts receivable by generating customer invoices, applying cash receipts, and following up on outstanding balances.
  • Support accurate revenue recording and billing in coordination with the revenue team.
  • Maintain organized documentation and support schedules for audits and internal reviews.
  • Partner with FP&A, Payroll, and external partners such as KPMG.
  • Contribute to team initiatives, process improvements, and strategic goals.
  • Use AI and automation to streamline accounting work and reduce manual tasks.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of accounting experience, or a completed accounting internship with relevant coursework.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of core accounting concepts, including month-end close and account reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet recurring close deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Adaptability, initiative, curiosity, and a continuous learning mindset.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP.
  • Exposure to a SaaS or subscription business model.
  • Familiarity with AP or AR automation tools.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to automate or streamline accounting work.
  • Progress toward a CPA license.
