About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain SmithRx frontend features with strong expertise in JavaScript, React, and GraphQL
  • Leverage CI/CD pipelines to iterate quickly on features
  • Build and maintain design libraries in collaboration with UX designers and other frontend engineers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leads to assess functional and technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Produce high-quality, performant, decoupled, and scalable code
  • Apply software development best practices, design patterns, tools, and technologies
  • Troubleshoot production issues through triage and root cause analysis
  • Coach and mentor junior team members through design and code reviews
  • Work with senior leadership to translate technical vision into a tangible roadmap
  • Foster a collaborative learning culture through knowledge sharing, mentorship, code reviews, and exploration of new frameworks

Requirements

  • BS or advanced degree in computer science
  • 8+ years of software development experience working on web applications
  • Expertise in JavaScript, React, GraphQL, HTML, CSS, and various front-end frameworks
  • Proven experience in client-side software design, implementing reusable components, and working on features independently
  • Successful history of leveraging AI for development
  • Experience using Git in a professional environment
  • Experience writing automated tests using frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium
  • Some industry experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and a common cloud service provider
  • Understanding of typical web application, SOA, and microservices patterns (plus)
  • Experience at a high-growth startup (plus)
