About the role

Responsibilities

  • Expand Hudl’s front-end platform to make it the standard across the company through discovery work, documentation, design reviews, and implementation.
  • Ensure the platform is robust, performant, easy-to-use, maintainable, scalable, accessible, and secure.
  • Maintain and update front-end tooling such as Vite and Next.js to provide a smooth development experience.
  • Serve as a consultant to product teams by answering questions, reviewing pull requests, participating in design reviews, and providing feedback on project plans.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience developing front-ends with TypeScript and React.
  • Led or played a key role in the development of large-scale web applications.
  • Familiarity with design systems for consistent, intuitive, and accessible user experiences.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presenting ideas, diagramming systems, and building alignment.
  • Strong understanding of front-end tooling; experience with Vite, Playwright, Storybook, Chromatic, and Turborepo; ability to set up and configure tools.
  • Visionary mindset excited about advancing product teams via a solid platform, with recognition of AI's role in acceleration.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Passion for the front-end ecosystem and proactively staying updated on its evolution, including concepts like Jamstack, component-driven development, micro-frontends, and monorepos.
  • Experience with front-end infrastructure, AWS, and Terraform for Jamstack or SSR updates.
  • Commitment to mentorship and sharing knowledge to level up others.
