Responsibilities
- Collaborate across engineering, accounting, financial partnerships, and product teams to analyze billions of dollars moving through the Stripe platform.
- Translate network specifications into implementation instructions to create billing models for new and revised scheme and interchange fees.
- Influence product strategy to minimize network costs.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Finance to implement cost-saving opportunities, prioritize investment, and explain cost and margin trends.
- Monitor and maintain fee accuracy through validation and alerting.
- Create fee explainability for internal and external stakeholders and host education sessions for internal teams.
- Introduce data and process efficiencies to meet Stripe's scale and speed.
- Identify and automate inefficient operational processes to reduce manual workloads.
- Drive the design, documentation, and training of operational processes to scale network cost operations and leverage partner relationships.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in payments at a leading technology or payments company.
- Ability to write SQL to query relational databases.
- Experience managing communications and workflows with technical and non-technical internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience navigating complex financial systems and solving large-scale technical challenges.
- Strong financial modeling and diagnostic skills to investigate, prioritize, and identify root causes of issues.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams, triaging technical issues, and driving solutions with clear impact metrics.
