Senior Accountant

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the close for assigned areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and GL-to-subledger integrity.
  • Manage key general ledger cycles, including accounts receivable and revenue, accruals, fixed assets, deferred revenue, and equity, with clean rollforwards and documentation.
  • Drive cutoffs and analytics by coordinating with AP, AR, Payroll, Procurement, and FP&A on accruals and budget-to-actuals.
  • Propose data-driven adjustments.
  • Identify risks, control gaps, and inefficiencies and drive solutions to improve controls and audit readiness.
  • Standardize templates, automate reconciliations, and streamline the close calendar.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CPA eligibility.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, including Big Four or national firms, and/or a high-growth operating environment.
  • Proficiency with general ledgers, subledgers, and reconciliation tools such as FloQast.
  • Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
  • Clear communication, ownership mindset, and ability to collaborate to deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
