Staff+ Software Engineer, Platform Ecosystem

Responsibilities

• Drive 0 → 1 efforts from ideation through delivery.
• Partner with product, design, research, and forward-deployed engineers to shape and execute product strategy in new domains.
• Build capabilities, integrations, and workflows that help industries adopt Claude safely and at scale.
• Design and operate systems that enable businesses building on Claude to price, package, and sell their products.
• Build commercial controls for platform monetization and ecosystem growth.
• Move across unfamiliar domains and technology stacks to ship high-quality products.
• Own work from design through build, deployment, operations, and iteration.
• Make independent technical decisions in ambiguous environments.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of practical experience as a backend or platform engineer, with some frontend experience.
• Strong product sense and technical ability across a wide variety of challenges.
• Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional partners.
• Familiarity with using AI tools in the software development process.
• Product-focused approach to platform engineering.
• Ability to build robust, scalable, and easy-to-use solutions.
• Experience operating in both 0 → 1 and more mature team or company settings is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual compensation range: $405,000–$485,000 USD.
