Staff Software Engineer: Compute
Build full-stack systems and Claude-powered tools that help datacenter, energy, and supply-chain teams plan and deliver compute infrastructure. The role requires 8+ years of software experience, strong data and API fundamentals, and experience supporting physical-world operations.

Responsibilities
- Build core systems tracking datacenter lifecycles, including sites, designs, bills of materials, equipment, and construction progress.
- Embed with datacenter, energy, and supply chain teams to understand workflows and build essential tools.
- Migrate and reconcile spreadsheets and legacy trackers; integrate construction management, scheduling, and engineering systems.
- Design fine-grained permissions, auditability, and data quality for investment-critical information.
- Ship early, iterate with users, and prioritize work that accelerates compute deployment.
- Partner with research to evaluate new model capabilities in engineering-heavy, physical-world domains.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong full-stack skills and grounding in data modeling, APIs, and databases.
- Experience building software used by teams in physical-world industries such as datacenters, construction, energy, manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics.
- Track record of zero-to-one work in startup or startup-like environments.
- Strong user focus, judgment, communication, and ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and research.
Nice-to-haves
- Datacenter experience at a hyperscaler, colocation provider, operator, utility, or engineering firm.
- Experience with construction, logistics, or legal domains.
- Familiarity with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, PLM/BOM, ERP, procurement, CAD/BIM, DCIM, or power system studies.
- Background in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering, energy systems, or supply chain alongside software experience.
- Experience building products with large language models.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $405,000–$485,000 USD.
