Responsibilities
- Designing and building tools and applications to extend Calendly’s infrastructure platform.
- Evaluating and guiding the development of applications across the organization.
- Exercising deep expertise in cloud infrastructure concepts and patterns.
- Offering and evangelizing patterns for application teams to consume for cloud native applications development.
- Fostering a collaborative environment of learning and knowledge dissemination.
- Delivering on Infrastructure roadmap objectives to provide a self-service platform for product developers.
- Participating in on-call rotation for business-critical alerts.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and/or software development.
- 4+ years of experience leading technical projects.
- Strong Go (Golang) development experience, especially writing APIs to build, orchestrate and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Expert knowledge of patterns and principles for designing and implementing cloud native applications on Kubernetes, such as Controllers and Operators.
- Deep experience designing, building, and running highly-available production applications.
- Understanding of the Linux operating system and systems engineering fundamentals.
- Technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure (especially GCP), distributed systems, and reliability practices.
- Working knowledge of software and infrastructure tuning and observability (especially Datadog).
- Eagerness and drive to teach, share knowledge, and mentor others.
- Comfortable working directly with internal customers to understand needs and collaborate on solutions.
- Creative problem-solving, keen eye for detail, and ability to deliver high quality solutions to complex issues.
- Availability for on-call rotation.
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.

- Experience building applications on Temporal.
