Responsibilities
Designing and building tools and applications to extend Calendly’s infrastructure platform.
Evaluating and guiding the development of applications across the organization.
Exercising deep expertise in cloud infrastructure concepts and patterns.
Offering and evangelizing patterns for application teams to consume for cloud native applications development.
Fostering a collaborative environment of learning and knowledge dissemination.
Delivering on Infrastructure roadmap objectives to provide a self-service platform for product developers.
Participating in on-call rotation for business-critical alerts.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and/or software development.
4+ years of experience leading technical projects.
Strong Go (Golang) development experience, especially writing APIs to build, orchestrate and manage cloud infrastructure.
Expert knowledge of patterns and principles for designing and implementing cloud native applications on Kubernetes, such as Controllers and Operators.
Deep experience designing, building, and running highly-available production applications.
Understanding of the Linux operating system and systems engineering fundamentals.
Technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure (especially GCP), distributed systems, and reliability practices.
Working knowledge of software and infrastructure tuning and observability (especially Datadog).
Eagerness and drive to teach, share knowledge, and mentor others.
Comfortable working directly with internal customers to understand needs and collaborate on solutions.
Creative problem-solving, keen eye for detail, and ability to deliver high quality solutions to complex issues.
