Leads the architecture and production delivery of OpenArt’s agent platform for creative workflows, spanning orchestration, memory, tooling, evaluation, observability, and frontend experiences. Requires 7+ years of full-stack experience and 2+ years building production LLM agents.

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture of the agent harness powering conversational and autonomous creative workflows, including tool use, context and memory management, multi-step planning, and sub-agent orchestration.
- Design long-running agent workflows for scene planning, storyboarding, asset generation, and revision across multiple model vendors, with clear failure modes and recovery paths.
- Build and maintain MCP servers and CLI-based agent tooling connecting agents to internal services, external model vendors, and creative asset pipelines.
- Author reusable Agent Skills and structured workflows, and define patterns for adding new ones.
- Build evaluation and observability systems, including automated evaluations, regression suites, tracing, and quality gates.
- Improve reliability, latency, and cost per successful run.
- Ship production frontend experiences with React and Next.js for agent-driven products.
- Set engineering standards, conduct architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and provide technical direction.
- Evaluate emerging agent technologies and collaborate with founders, product, design, and go-to-market teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping and owning production systems at scale.
- 2+ years building LLM-powered agents in production.
- Hands-on experience with agent architecture, including tool use, context and memory management, multi-step planning, sub-agent orchestration, and long-running workflows.
- Experience designing evaluation frameworks and observability for agentic systems.
- Strong system design and data modeling skills, including state, schemas, and APIs.
- Experience authoring reusable Agent Skills, structured agent workflows, or equivalent abstractions.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and architectural decision-making.
- Strong AI-assisted coding practice using tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
- Strong product sense and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience building MCP servers and CLI tooling for agents.
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK or LangGraph.
- Experience with LLM evaluation and observability tooling.
- Experience with image or video generation models and creative asset pipelines.
- Experience with guardrails, safety, and cost controls for autonomous systems.
- Startup experience or ownership of a product surface from 0 to 1.
