Responsibilities
- Own and build key frontend and backend features for ClickStack, an open-source observability platform.
- Improve developer workflows for monitoring, debugging, and analyzing production applications.
- Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers, resolve technical challenges, and incorporate feedback into the product roadmap.
- Optimize HyperDX and ClickStack for petabyte-scale observability data, fast analysis, and cloud-platform scalability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably building developer tools.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills, including Next.js for frontend development and Express for backend development.
- Strong proficiency with React.js.
- Proficiency in SQL for query generation on ClickHouse.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Passion for open source and the developer community.
- Experience creating developer tooling and designing products for developers.
Nice-to-haves
- Expertise in distributed systems and event ingestion pipelines.
- Experience with columnar databases.
- Familiarity with Python, Rust, or PHP for integrations.
- Experience with SDKs.
- Strong knowledge of observability tools and ideas for improving them.
