Product Design Lead

What You'll Do

• Shape the entire platform, creating the coherent vision that ties everything together across Socket's products (Socket Open Source, Firewall, Certified Patches, etc.).
• Lead design as strategy, defining design primitives, patterns, and interactions that scale.
• Partner with leadership (CEO, engineering, sales/marketing) and participate in customer conversations.
• Design end-to-end experiences that make complex security concepts approachable for developers.
• Work with engineering to develop interfaces that abstract complexity while preserving precision.
• Establish and evolve Socket's design system for consistency and speed.
• Shape visual and interaction language; help define roadmap and prioritize design opportunities.
• Be part of hiring and building the design team.

What You'll Bring

• Shipped products at a high bar with systems-level clarity.
• Deep experience designing for developers or technical audiences.
• Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking: design languages, component systems, consistency across complex products.
• Comfort working directly with engineering/product leadership, moving fast without excessive process.
• Experience designing security/infrastructure tools (plus, not required).
• Strong focus on craft and functional details (pixels, interactions, word choice).
