About the role

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the multi-quarter strategy for foundational services, balancing technical debt, scalability, and feature velocity.
  • Shift the platform from reactive, ticket-based support to a proactive, self-service product model through paved roads and service catalogs.
  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Security to deliver extensible, compliant platform solutions.
  • Improve APIs, SDKs, and sandbox environments to reduce time-to-first-deploy and developer cognitive load.
  • Establish governance frameworks and KPI dashboards tracking adoption, support deflection, and reliability.
  • Use developer interviews and usage data to identify root causes and guide customer-centric product decisions.
  • Represent the platform across the organization and incorporate stakeholder needs into product planning.
  • Build, lead, recruit, and retain a successful product management team.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of product management experience building large-scale cloud services platforms.
  • 10+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience delivering large-scale, mission-critical software services, such as commerce systems or similar platforms.
  • Proven record of achieving ambitious customer and business outcomes.
  • Experience leading major organizational or product changes while maintaining hands-on attention to detail.
  • Executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Data-driven, outcomes-oriented problem-solving approach.
  • Strong customer focus and passion for customer journeys and experiences.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with usage-based and metered products at very large scale.
  • Experience applying product management practices to internal infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with DORA, CNCF, and Team Topologies.
  • Experience with developer portals, golden paths, service catalogs, documentation-as-code, or other developer self-service capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Estimated annual pay ranges:
    • Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont, or Washington, D.C.: $233,100–$259,000
    • New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California outside the San Francisco Bay area: $246,780–$274,200
    • San Francisco Bay area, California: $274,140–$304,600
  • May be eligible for equity and a corporate bonus plan.
  • Benefits generally include health insurance, a 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave, wellness leave, and other paid leave.
  • Approximately 15% travel is anticipated.
