Staff Full-Stack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead critical, cross-functional engineering initiatives from design through development and deployment, ensuring quality and scalability.
• Participate in technical decision-making and knowledge sharing across multiple teams.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless, data-driven experiences.
• Evaluate and introduce tools, technologies, and practices that improve engineering excellence.
• Lead by example in service ownership, observability, and operational best practices across the engineering organization.
• Promote high standards, clean code, testing, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, including 2+ years in a senior, staff, or principal-level role.
• Experience designing and building distributed systems at scale in cloud-native environments using GCP or AWS.
• Deep expertise in backend technologies, including microservices, event-driven architectures, and REST/gRPC APIs.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks and full-stack engineering practices.
• Fluency in system design and architecture, including balancing trade-offs among scalability, performance, and developer experience.
• Track record of shaping technical direction and elevating team capabilities.
• Passion for building high-impact, customer-facing products that are data-rich and intuitive.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers in production environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code using Terraform, and container orchestration such as Kubernetes.
