Legal Operations Associate
Supports attorneys and legal operations professionals across investment product launches, contract negotiations, transactions, and strategic projects at a quantitative investment firm. The role is intended for current bachelor’s students or recent graduates with strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
- Support the Legal Department across core work streams, including:
- Fund and other investment product launches
- Investor side letter review and negotiation
- NDA and commercial contract negotiations
- Intellectual property and trademark matters
- Secured finance transactions
- New business initiatives and strategic projects
- Legal department project management
- Work directly with outside counsel on active matters, including relationship management and negotiations.
- Partner with attorneys and legal operations professionals on day-to-day departmental matters.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, Compliance, HR, Business Strategy, and Trading teams.

Requirements
- Early-career candidate with a strong academic record from a rigorous undergraduate program; current bachelor's students and recent graduates are welcome.
- Any major is considered; pre-law or legal coursework is not required.
- Genuine curiosity about the legal function of a quantitative investment firm.
- Demonstrated ambition and ownership, including having built, led, or improved something.
- Critical thinking and a proactive approach to identifying improvements.
- Ability to turn ambiguity into structure and solve problems.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams with high attention to detail.
- Collaborative team orientation.
- Interest in remaining in the role for at least two years.
- Authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
