Responsibilities
- Design and implement back-end services for operating large robot fleets across customer facilities, including:
- Customer system integrations
- Software update management
- Real-time fleet orchestration and coordination
- Robot onboarding and provisioning
- Health and performance monitoring
- Anonymized data collection
- Develop secure, real-time data pipelines between robots, edge devices, and cloud services that remain robust during connectivity interruptions.
- Implement on-robot software enabling secure, access-controlled teleoperation and assignment execution.
- Create intuitive, performant front-end web applications for robot operators, facility managers, and engineering teams.
- Work with customers to understand operational requirements and propose scalable solutions that minimize customization.
- Collaborate with Field Operations, Information Systems, DevOps, MLOps, and Platform Software teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of full-stack software development experience.
- Experience developing data-intensive web applications backed by streaming data sources.
- Knowledge of front-end web development frameworks such as React.
- Knowledge of real-time data pipelines and cloud databases.
- Ability to own and drive a strategically important development project.
- Willingness to support other teams during tight deadlines and problem-solving efforts.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience developing scalable multi-agent orchestration software.
- Awareness of robot-to-fleet-manager communication standards.
- Hands-on experience operating robot fleets.
