Requires 8+ years of data center operations experience, hardware expertise, and strong vendor and process-management skills.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Define the global hardware repair strategy, including repair SLAs, prioritization, escalation paths, reporting, and standards across sites.
  • Own repair turnaround time, backlog, and compute returned to service using ticket and telemetry dashboards.
  • Author procedures for triage, break-fix, return-to-service validation, and partner training.
  • Manage RMA and reverse logistics programs with OEMs, ODMs, and depot repair vendors, including warranty claims and failure analysis.
  • Set site- and part-level spares inventory requirements with supply chain and asset management.
  • Analyze failure patterns, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions with engineering, suppliers, and site operations.
  • Lead vendor and site operating cadences, scorecards, business reviews, and SLA corrective actions.
  • Communicate repair constraints, risks, and fleet-availability impact to engineering and leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of data center operations experience as a manager, technical lead, or in a related role, with accountability for production availability.
  • Proven experience running large-scale, multi-site break-fix programs.
  • Experience managing vendors, OEMs, ODMs, or contract workforces against measurable SLAs and outcomes.
  • Hands-on technical depth in server, network, and rack-level hardware.
  • Experience building or substantially improving operational processes.
  • Comfort using ticket, telemetry, and inventory data for decision-making.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • GPU/accelerator or high-density liquid-cooled infrastructure experience, including tray, cold plate, and manifold-level repair.
  • Experience managing hyperscale OEM/ODM RMA and warranty programs, failure analysis, and supplier quality.
  • Experience with spares planning, reverse logistics, or depot repair at data center scale.
  • Experience delivering repair outcomes at partner-operated or colocation sites.
  • Familiarity with optics and high-speed interconnect failures.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary: $320,000–$405,000 USD.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office collaboration space.
