Senior Software Engineer, Data & AI
Build and operate an internal AI and data platform that connects agents, governed data, tools, and business workflows. The role requires 4+ years of production systems experience, strong TypeScript/Node.js or Python skills, and experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, MCP, and cloud data warehouses.

Responsibilities
- Build and own the internal AI platform, including the agent harness, MCP servers, tool integrations, context and access services, sandboxed execution, and cost and usage tracking.
- Partner with Finance, Sales Operations, Compliance, and onboarding teams to understand workflows, replace manual processes with systems, and support adoption.
- Extend data infrastructure with dbt models, BigQuery, orchestration, and production pipelines.
- Share ownership of monitoring, alerting, and data reliability for systems supporting product launches.
- Partner with Engineering to improve development systems and tooling.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience shipping and maintaining production systems.
- Experience in data engineering, machine learning engineering, backend engineering, or full-stack engineering.
- Experience building an internal platform or workflow system adopted by other teams.
- Production experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and MCP, beyond prompt engineering.
- Strong TypeScript/Node.js or Python fundamentals, with willingness to work in both.
- Fluency with a cloud data warehouse such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Ability to work with non-technical teams to understand workflows and develop systems from them.
- Comfort working with ambiguity in a startup environment.
- Based in Los Angeles or willing to relocate to Los Angeles, California.
