About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain integrated master schedules, key milestones, and critical paths aligned with the vehicle product development lifecycle.
  • Define task dependencies, durations, and resource requirements across cross-functional teams.
  • Track program progress against baselines, identifying critical path bottlenecks, delays, and schedule risks.
  • Develop mitigation plans for at-risk activities and escalate timing issues with actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare timing status reports, executive dashboards, and timeline presentations for management gateway reviews.
  • Track and report timing KPIs, including milestone adherence, schedule slippage, and on-time delivery.
  • Partner with Program Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure cross-functional timeline alignment.
  • Coordinate critical milestones across sourcing, tooling, validation, and launch timing.
  • Maintain scheduling tools and standardize timing templates across multiple program platforms to ensure data integrity.
  • Drive continuous improvement in program scheduling processes and methodologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in program scheduling, project planning, or timing analysis.
  • Experience in automotive or manufacturing program environments strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive product development processes, including APQP and gateway/phase reviews.
  • Understanding of vehicle program milestones, including SOP, PPAP, launch, and ramp-up.
  • Familiarity with automotive development lifecycle and launch processes.
  • Understanding of engineering, tooling, and manufacturing timing dependencies.
  • Knowledge of supplier readiness and PPAP timing requirements.
  • Awareness of validation, testing, and homologation timing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Project management certification, such as PMP.
