Software Engineer - Robot Software Infrastructure
Develops operating-system platforms, device drivers, and infrastructure for autonomous-vehicle robotics systems. The role requires 4+ years of production software experience, strong Linux internals expertise, and proficiency in C/C++ plus scripting languages.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the operating system platform powering vehicle devices and applications.
- Architect and implement platform-level software for robust, scalable robotics infrastructure.
- Configure and manage embedded Linux build systems, such as Yocto, and bootloader processes, such as U-Boot.
- Develop and optimize device drivers and kernel-space components using C, C++, or Rust.
- Collaborate with application software, release management, hardware engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams on OS integration and delivery.
- Triage issues and support new hardware bring-up and manufacturing functions.
Requirements
- 4+ years delivering production systems and software applications.
- Experience designing and deploying end-to-end continuous integration and validation toolchains for Linux/OS images across different hardware platforms.
- Proficiency with Linux internals, including init systems, containerization, filesystems, kernel-space development, device drivers, and systems programming.
- Programming experience with C, C++, and scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with embedded Linux in robotics applications.
- Familiarity with PKI, secure boot, OTA software updates, and hardware key storage.
- Familiarity with Nvidia GPUs, Nvidia Thor/Orin, CUDA, and TRT.
- Graduate degree focused on networking, operating systems, or firmware.
