About the role

Role Scope

  • Run end-to-end logistics for a gigawatt-scale data center campus: inbound freight, receiving, laydown yards, warehousing, inventory control, and delivery of equipment to the crews installing it.
  • Stand up logistics operations at new sites from day one, with dock schedules, laydown plans, and material flow in place before the first major equipment shipment lands.
  • Coordinate owner-furnished equipment deliveries across general contractors, trade partners, and freight carriers, and resequence on the spot when a truck, crane, or crew doesn't show.
  • Implement material tracking that keeps physical counts and system counts matched across thousands of line items, so installation crews never wait on something already on site.
  • Hire and lead the site logistics team as the fleet grows, and write the playbook every subsequent site runs on.

Requirements

  • Personally run site logistics on major construction or industrial programs: receiving, laydown, warehousing, and staging at the scale of truckloads per day.
  • Coordinated deliveries across GCs, trade partners, and carriers, and resequenced a day's plan in minutes when the schedule broke.
  • Implemented inventory or material tracking systems and kept them honest, with physical counts matching system counts through high-volume receiving.
  • Handled oversized, high-value, or long-lead equipment (transformers, switchgear, chillers, generators) from carrier to final set.
  • Hired, trained, and led warehouse or field logistics crews and held them to a safety and accuracy bar.
  • Been the single source of truth on site for where material is, and installation crews planned around it.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Data center or mission-critical construction logistics.
  • Heavy-haul and rigging coordination.
  • Customs and international freight.
  • WMS or ERP-driven material management.
  • Standing up laydown yards and warehouses from a greenfield.
