Leads pre-sales technical engagements for Twilio’s communications products, partnering with Account Executives to qualify opportunities, demonstrate solutions, and guide customers through technical decisions. Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives on pre-sales activities, including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, proofs of concept, RFPs, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
- Lead technical and product sales by recommending best-practice solutions and guiding customers in using Twilio APIs.
- Discover customer technical challenges and design, demonstrate, and present innovative solutions.
- Build and deliver interactive demonstrations of Twilio Communications Products to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Identify and solve customer and organizational problems.
- Contribute reusable demonstrations, presentations, and knowledge to the Solutions Engineering community.
- Mentor less experienced Solutions Engineers.
- Travel approximately 25%.
Requirements
- 8+ years of pre-sales experience selling complex technical products, or 10+ years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer-facing delivery or consulting experience.
- Strong communication, presentation, storytelling, discovery, and customer advisory skills.
- Ability to understand communications needs and guide customers toward technical solutions.
- Previous software development experience or working knowledge of relevant technical domains.
- Experience with telecom, SIP, contact centers, or security.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies.
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in a technical discipline, such as engineering, mathematics, or computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and cloud application architecture.
Compensation and Benefits
- Estimated annual pay ranges vary by eligible location: $138,872.00–$173,590.00; $146,592.00–$183,240.00; or $154,304.00–$192,880.00.
- May be eligible for an equity plan and commissions.
