About the role
What You’ll Do
Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in NetSuite (journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics and reporting) in compliance with ASC 606.
Perform ongoing contract review of closed deals and ensure appropriateness of revenue inputs for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
Assist in tracking and assessing non-standard revenue contracts for appropriateness of revenue recognition.
Draft and maintain technical accounting memos supporting judgmental revenue recognition positions, ensuring conclusions are well-documented and audit-ready.
Prepare revenue-related system reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution.
Assist in design, data integration and testing of NetSuite ARM.
Participate in testing for revenue system enhancements to ensure new features support compliance and data integrity.
Clearly and completely document all processes and procedures in line with control activities.
Support SOX and internal control walkthroughs, testing, and documentation for the revenue cycle, partnering with internal and external auditors as needed.
Identify process improvements and assist in automation efforts to drive efficiency.
Participate in ad hoc projects, such as supporting external audit requirements.
Required Experience
5-8 years of combined experience in revenue and/or public accounting.
Strong working knowledge of ASC 606.
Experience working in high-growth, SaaS companies.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
Meticulous and well-organized with precision in changing processes, multiple data sources, and driving multiple tasks to completion.
