Senior Director, Global Tax Reporting

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a multi-year strategy for the Global Tax Reporting organization.
- Lead and develop a high-performing global tax reporting team, including priorities, accountability, succession planning, and career development.
- Lead worldwide quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740.
- Oversee current and deferred tax accounting, effective tax rate analysis, deferred tax assets and liabilities, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions under ASC 740-10, and return-to-provision analyses.
- Prepare and review tax-related disclosures for Forms 10-Q, 10-K, earnings releases, and other SEC filings.
- Lead worldwide direct tax compliance, including U.S. federal, state and local, and foreign income tax filings, estimated payments, extensions, and tax account reconciliations.
- Oversee external tax service providers and ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Evaluate the tax impact of legislation, accounting standards, regulatory developments, and business initiatives.
- Embed AI, automation, advanced analytics, and digital technologies into tax provision, compliance, forecasting, research, documentation, and reporting.
- Maintain appropriate governance, professional judgment, confidentiality, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
- Own the global tax reporting control environment and ensure processes and technical positions are documented and audit-ready.
- Lead support for external financial statement audits, internal audits, tax authorities, and regulatory inquiries.
- Build cross-functional partnerships and communicate complex tax matters as clear business recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification.
- 15+ years of progressive corporate tax experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience leading global tax reporting and compliance for a multinational public company.
- Deep knowledge of worldwide direct tax compliance, tax accounting, and financial reporting.
- Strong risk assessment, judgment, executive communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to build trusted cross-functional relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience using generative AI, automation, advanced analytics, and modern finance technologies to improve tax operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, or an MBA in Finance or a related field.
- Big Four public accounting experience.
- Technology or SaaS industry experience.
- Experience with OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax, Workiva, SAP, Oracle, Alteryx, or similar tax technologies.
Compensation
- U.S. Zone 1: $299,600–$405,400 USD annually.
- U.S. Zone 2: $269,700–$364,900 USD annually.
- U.S. Zone 3: $239,700–$324,300 USD annually.
