About the role

What You'll Do

  • Lead strategic sourcing for enterprise SaaS and IT categories - owning net-new purchases and complex, high-spend renewals through a documented, collaborative evaluation process, with action plans built well ahead of renewal dates.
  • Own software license and subscription strategy, right-sizing entitlements, minimizing shelfware, and replacing last-minute buying with forward-looking renewal and demand planning.
  • Lead the IT hardware procurement team responsible for purchasing, sourcing, and replenishment (laptops, peripherals, networking, office AV), balancing demand with headcount and multi-region growth while leveraging OEM/distributor relationships and buying scale.
  • Lead the transformation of IT Procurement (hardware and SaaS licenses) from transactional to strategic - standardizing processes, introducing supplier-management discipline, and establishing operational metrics and KPIs.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders and collaborate on strategizing the purchase plan, negotiating pricing and other business terms with vendors on net-new purchases and complex, high-spend renewals, partnering cross-functionally with Procurement Operations, Legal, Security, IT, and Office Operations to ensure compliant, scalable execution.
  • Create pricing models based on vendor proposals to quantify various buying scenarios related to our future growth and current demand.
  • Manage and develop a direct report, with the opportunity to grow and lead a larger sourcing team as the function scales.
  • Assist teams to independently evaluate their best practices and adopt a value-driven mindset when purchasing on behalf of the organization.

Who You Are

  • Experienced in 5+ years supporting procurement through strategic sourcing with a history of negotiated savings in the focus categories.
  • Deep experience across the IT hardware supply chain (laptops, networking equipment, office AV, etc), including OEM/distributor management, inventory planning against headcount growth, global logistics coordination, and scalable replenishment processes to support rapid, multi-region expansion.
  • Someone who has experience at a high-growth company and understands the nuances of expanding offices, working on global initiatives, leveraging buying power and breaking down potential silos.
  • Confident with analyzing and presenting complex data to executives and business unit partners.
  • Incredibly organized, diligent and able to own several projects at once.
  • Proven track record of creating strong partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Proficient at analyzing cost related to future growth and current demand.
  • Comfortable operating within gray areas.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, or formally developing procurement/sourcing talent, or a clear readiness to take on direct people leadership.
  • Understands optimization levers such as demand management, consolidation, price negotiation, etc.
  • Someone who holds a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Zip, ChatGPT and Claude. Specifically around adopting AI to build repeatable workflows that make sourcing faster, smarter, and more scalable.

Benefits and Growth

  • Generous and competitive benefits package.
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan.
  • Continuous career development and pathing opportunities.
  • Product training to develop an in-depth understanding of our product and space.
  • Best in breed onboarding.
  • Internal mentor and buddy program cross-departmentally.
