Senior Infrastructure Engineer
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will build and operate high-scale infrastructure while leading Kubernetes adoption, an AWS-to-GCP migration, and PostgreSQL modernization. The role requires 5+ years of infrastructure or SRE experience, production Go or Python skills, and demonstrated expertise in scalable systems and cloud efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate infrastructure for high-scale real-time systems handling millions of concurrent connections and billions of monthly API requests.
- Drive Kubernetes work end-to-end, including cluster architecture, workload design, and service migration.
- Contribute to the AWS-to-GCP migration by re-architecting workloads for cost and performance.
- Own cloud cost and efficiency optimization using spend and utilization data.
- Write production Go and Python for internal services, platform tooling, and deployment automation.
- Lead post-migration tuning and capacity planning.
- Partner with backend, video, and moderation engineers on system design and reliability tradeoffs.
- Participate in on-call, incident response, and root cause analysis.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or SRE engineering.
- Software engineering background with production coding experience in Go or Python.
- Meaningful production-scale Kubernetes experience, including cluster strategy, workload design, or migration leadership.
- Demonstrated cloud cost or efficiency optimization at scale on AWS or GCP.
- Experience running high-scale, high-load production systems.
- Strong fundamentals in networking, compute, storage, and IAM.
- Comfortable leading projects and reviewing code in a small team.
- Active use of AI tooling in engineering workflows.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with both AWS and GCP or cloud migrations between providers.
- Large-scale PostgreSQL experience, including sharding, replication, partitioning, or self-hosting.
- Experience with real-time systems such as WebSockets, WebRTC, streaming, or persistent connections.
- Familiarity with CockroachDB, Redis, Terraform, and Prometheus-based observability.
- Experience at an API-first or infrastructure-enabling scaleup.
