Cloud Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own weekly cloud release qualification end to end, from branch cut through sign-off.
• Read release-branch pull requests, assess risk, and design qualification tests that exercise the actual changes.
• Build and evolve functional, integration, performance, and fault test infrastructure for the Inference Cloud platform.
• Design test infrastructure to scale with future growth in coverage, environments, and traffic.
• Reason across the full stack, including client SDKs, APIs, gateways, inference software, drivers, and hardware.
• Review code changes, understand their blast radius, and test their actual impact.
• Expand automation coverage and resolve flaky tests.
• Use AI tooling to accelerate test creation, debugging, triage, and analysis.
• Establish standards for high-value testing and release readiness.
• Collaborate with platform, ML, infrastructure, and product teams across time zones.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, test engineering, or a closely related role.
• Substantial individual-contributor experience with large-scale distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
• Deep cloud platform experience, preferably AWS, including networking, compute orchestration, container platforms, and multi-region production services.
• Experience building scalable test infrastructure, including frameworks, harnesses, environments, and automation.
• Strong systems debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language: Python, Go, or C++.
• Excellent written and asynchronous communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, make trade-offs under ambiguity, and advocate for quality.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, model-serving systems, or GPU-accelerated workloads.
• Experience using LLMs, coding assistants, or agents for test development, triage, or analysis.
