Responsibilities
- Improve the availability, safety, reliability, and security of Cloudflare’s edge ecosystem.
- Enhance the edge platform and help build and maintain a high-performance web server.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams across Cloudflare.
- Apply algorithms, data structures, concurrency-control systems, and software design practices to build large distributed systems.
- Drive communication and consensus across teams.
- Pursue continuous improvement in operations and product development.
Requirements
- Strong practical computer science skills, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, software design, and distributed systems.
- Experience with performance engineering.
- Ability to communicate and build consensus across teams.
- Motivation to learn and solve complex technical challenges.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Rust or Go.
- Knowledge of web servers and web protocols.
