About the role
Responsibilities
Architect and implement comprehensive manufacturing test strategies for new product introductions (NPIs), covering functional, parametric, and in-circuit testing for complex wearable devices.
Design, develop, and qualify test fixtures, equipment, and software for PCBA-level tests to final product assembly.
Develop and optimize test solutions for:
Audio Testing: Acoustic test methodologies for speakers, microphones.
Camera & Imaging Testing: Calibration and functional tests for cameras and optical systems.
RF & Wireless: Testing for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and RF protocols.
Sensors: Calibration for accelerometers, gyroscopes, biometric sensors.
Utilize data analysis tools to monitor test yields, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvement in test coverage, cycle time, and efficiency.
Act as primary technical interface with contract manufacturers (CMs): train teams, troubleshoot on factory floor, ensure specification adherence.
Partner with design teams for Design for Testability (DFT) to enhance testability, manufacturability, and reliability.
Create and maintain test specifications, process instructions, and engineering change notices (ECNs).
Lead and mentor junior engineers, manage third-party resources.
Required Qualifications
Deep expertise in consumer electronics testing: PCBA, FATP, system-level.
Experience with specialized testing:
Audio: Audio Precision, SoundCheck.
Camera: Optical test benches, image quality analysis, calibration.
