Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand business problems and develop project solutions.
- Lead projects across the full software development lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Drive technical discussions with peers and global technical leaders to align strategies across customer support products and capabilities.
- Tackle complex technical challenges and proactively identify and mitigate execution risks.
- Write high-quality code and design documents that set team standards.
- Advocate for engineering best practices and technical excellence.
- Coach and mentor engineers across the China team.
- Participate in recruiting efforts and conduct interviews.
- Promote an inclusive engineering culture through effective communication and quality.
Requirements
- 9+ years of software development experience, including 2 years at Staff or Tech Lead level.
- Strong proficiency in at least one major backend programming language, such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Python.
- Experience delivering end-to-end products in a globally collaborative environment.
- Experience with architectural patterns for large-scale web applications, including well-designed APIs, high-volume data pipelines, and efficient algorithms.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions, articulate technical trade-offs, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
- Interest in data systems and analytics.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluency in English and Chinese.
Nice to Have
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Passion for creating intuitive user experiences.
Compensation and Benefits
