About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop containerized microservices and associated components for a distributed, multi-tenant system processing real-time events, data, and cloud infrastructure telemetry.
  • Provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations to help customers identify and minimize cloud risk.
  • Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns.
  • Own critical features and subsystems across the software development lifecycle, from requirements clarification through deployment and customer usage.
  • Own operational aspects of the system and build usable, supportable software.
  • Ensure quality through developer, functional, integration, and performance testing.
  • Partner with Product Management to review and refine requirements.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer problems through stakeholder and peer interaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree; a master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
  • Experience with software development and a willingness to continuously learn and follow technology trends.
  • Extensive API- or programming-level experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Java and Spring Boot or Golang.
  • REST API client experience.
  • General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
  • Unix/Linux programming environment experience.
  • Experience delivering containerized services is desired.
  • Experience with networking and security controls is a plus.

Compensation and Other Information

  • Annual base salary: $170,000–$196,000.
  • This position involves access to software and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
