About the role

Responsibilities

  • Run discovery across the company: sit with finance, sales, support, and ops teams to map workflows, identify automations and agents worth building, and prioritize by business impact.
  • Prototype v1 yourself using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, agent frameworks) to create working versions of agents and automations.
  • Turn prototypes into detailed specs for engineers.
  • Maintain a pipeline of well-defined, shovel-ready work for the team.
  • Own quality: define "working correctly" via evals, guardrails, edge cases, and observability.
  • Keep the team shipping: clear blockers, make scope decisions, and manage projects through the build phase.
  • Drive adoption of built automations and iterate based on user feedback.
  • Set vision and roadmap for Rockie and internal AI agents as they evolve into a platform.

Requirements

  • Professional software engineering experience: built and shipped production software; understand security risks of giving AI systems access to real data and tools.
  • Experience owning a product end-to-end (as technical founder, founding engineer, forward-deployed engineer, or PM).
  • Deep, hands-on AI experience: shipped LLM-powered systems; build with AI tools daily; understand agents, evals, and model failure modes.
  • Strong business sense: can map finance/sales processes and identify automatable workflows.
  • 0-to-1 track record building products or tools from scratch.
  • Outstanding written communication skills (documentation-first culture).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Formal PM experience (not required).
