About the role
What You'll Do
Serve as a trusted transformation advisor to Harvey's most strategic in-house clients and prospects, embedding directly in their world to understand how they operate, where AI can move the needle, and what it will take to get there.
Draw on the full range of Harvey's capabilities — sales, legal engineering, customer success, legal innovation, and product — to connect the right assets and expertise to each organization's unique challenges and opportunities.
Design and lead end-to-end AI transformation programs covering use case prioritization, executive alignment, rollout planning, governance, and success measurement, spanning all facets of organizational change: Technology, Skills, Communications, Structures, and Governance.
Help legal department leaders translate complex AI capability into clear, actionable strategies that make sense for each organization's size, structure, business context, and ambitions.
Build and own the operational infrastructure of this practice: repeatable transformation playbooks, executive workshop formats, value realization frameworks, and function-specific benchmarks that allow Harvey to scale high-quality transformation support across in-house teams worldwide.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Executives, Legal Engineers, Customer Success Managers, Legal Product Specialists, Product, and Marketing to identify adoption barriers, build organization-specific strategies, and feed insights back into product and go-to-market decisions.
Define and track transformation success metrics including adoption, utilization, measurable value, ROI, customer health, executive engagement, renewal readiness, and expansion readiness.
Represent Harvey credibly in the in-house legal and legal ops community through advising, thought leadership, and community engagement.
What You Have
JD or equivalent legal qualification.
12+ years of experience practicing law at a top-tier law firm, with subsequent experience on an in-house legal team at a leading enterprise organization.
Deep understanding of how in-house legal teams operate — including how they interface with the business, how priorities get set, how technology decisions get made, and the unique pressures GCs and legal ops leaders face.
Strong point of view on where AI is taking the legal industry, paired with the empathy and communication skills to meet clients where they are and bring them along on the journey.
Executive presence and client credibility: equally comfortable advising a GC or CLO on transformation strategy and rolling up your sleeves on the ground.
Proven ability to build from the ground up: designing playbooks, standing up functions, and generating momentum and enthusiasm across a team and an organization.
Comfort with data-informed decision-making, including the ability to define outcomes, diagnose adoption risks, and adjust strategy based on usage and business impact.
High-agency operating style suited to a fast-moving, ambiguous, early-stage environment, with a bias toward simple, scalable approaches over overly complex programs.
Lead OpenAI's policy and engagement strategy for cyber-focused national security testing and evaluation of advanced AI. Own relationships with U.S. government partners, translate technical evaluation priorities into policy actions, and align findings with risk mitigation. Requires TS/SCI clearance and deep expertise in cyber operations or adversarial testing.
