DataOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and scale resilient AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, AWS CDK, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Integrate AI coding assistants and automation into infrastructure, scripting, pipeline, and documentation workflows.
• Manage production container platforms using Docker, ECS, and Fargate.
• Implement AI-driven monitoring and anomaly detection with CloudWatch.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, including IAM, encryption, and audit readiness for SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Write automation scripts in Python or Bash to reduce operational toil.
• Partner with developers and architects on cloud readiness, production troubleshooting, and infrastructure for machine-learning and AI workloads.
• Lead large-scale infrastructure initiatives such as cloud migrations, platform re-architectures, and CI/CD overhauls.
• Participate in on-call rotations and develop self-healing infrastructure patterns.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Engineering supporting SaaS production environments.
• Experience leading large-scale infrastructure projects, including planning, staging, and stakeholder coordination.
• Deep expertise with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, and Lambda.
• Production infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Experience administering ECS, Fargate, or Kubernetes/Amazon EKS and Docker environments.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting skills.
• Experience integrating AI assistants or automated tooling into daily workflows.
• Understanding of cloud security fundamentals, including IAM and encryption.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audits.

Nice to Have

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• Experience optimizing infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, including GPU node management or vector databases.
• Experience with Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience using predictive analytics or AI platforms to reduce MTTR.
