Responsibilities
- Make the Claude Platform a best-in-class offering across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure by delivering the API, control plane, and Anthropic features through cloud-provider platforms.
- Build native cloud integrations and collaborate with Infrastructure, Systems, Networking, Databases, Inference, and other teams.
- Ship enterprise enablement features for growth, security, compliance, and regulated customers, including key management and encryption, audit APIs, usage visibility, access control, and international data residency.
- Lead large-scale infrastructure systems and ambiguous, cross-team technical projects from design through production and operations.
- Own work end to end, from design through deployment and operations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of practical experience as a backend or platform engineer building scalable distributed systems.
- Experience operating at tech-lead level or equivalent.
- Product-focused approach to platform engineering, with an emphasis on robust, scalable, adoptable solutions.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure at scale using GCP, AWS, or Azure, and/or enterprise SaaS in a multi-tenant context.
- Background in security, compliance, or data residency for regulated or sovereign cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or a similar systems language.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual compensation range: $405,000–$485,000 USD.
- Competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office space for collaboration.
- Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more office time.
- Visa sponsorship is available for some roles and candidates.
