Senior Technical Architect, Okta

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with Okta customers in post-sales role to provide innovative consulting services.
• Gather, analyze, and document post-sales requirements.
• Communicate with customers and partners at technical/functional levels.
• Provide excellent design and deployment solutions for customer satisfaction.
• Manage project scope, schedule, status, and documentation.
• Mentor and train customers on the service.
• Act as liaison between customers and Product Management to drive product development.
• Lead collaboration with Engineering and Support teams for escalated issues.
• Collaborate with sales on up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Perform hands-on technical design, configuration, and troubleshooting of Okta service.
• Shape Okta’s growth by designing new offerings.
• Manage multiple concurrent deployment projects.
• Apply knowledge of identity federation protocols (SAML 2.0, WS-Federation, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
• Apply knowledge of cloud architectures and enterprise on-premise IT.
• Apply software development experience (Java, Ruby, .Net, PHP, REST/JSON).
• Utilize knowledge of enterprise identity lifecycle management.
• Apply JavaScript and MVC frameworks (Backbone, Angular, Ember, React).
• Mentor less experienced team members.
• Ensure quality and time management processes.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 5-7 years experience as technical consultant delivering solutions to external customers.
• Experience with identity federation protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, WS-Federation).
• Software development experience (Java, Ruby, .Net, PHP, REST/JSON).
• Knowledge of enterprise web technologies, security, infrastructures.
• Experience with JavaScript and major MVC frameworks (Backbone, Angular, Ember, React).
• Ability to work independently and multi-functionally.
• Knowledge of enterprise identity lifecycle management.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple engagements.
• Hands-on contributor.
• Superb communication, issue tracking, crisis management.
• Experience in process improvement, decision-making, planning.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing/implementing security and identity management solutions.
• Experience delivering Okta implementations.
• Mobile development (iOS, Android).
