Sr. Software Engineer, Web

What you’ll do

• Build for Impact: Create and launch powerful, user-facing features for Desktop and Mobile Web that help spark creativity and inspire our global community.
• Full Product Ownership: Contribute through every stage—from rapid prototyping and A/B testing to architecting, building, and scaling solutions that reach millions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely across design, product, and backend to deliver seamless, end-to-end functionality.
• Drive Innovation: Advocate for Pinners by suggesting new ideas and features, and use your product sense to shape what’s next.
• Quality Engineering: Employ automated testing and best practices to deliver reliable, maintainable code—taking full ownership of your work.
• Mentor & Connect: Share your expertise through mentoring teammates, leading code reviews, and contributing to technical decision-making.
• Leverage AI Thoughtfully: Use AI for rapid prototyping, information synthesis, documentation, and more—always validating results to drive speed, quality, and innovation.

What we’re looking for

• Deep understanding of Web development and best practices in React/Redux.
• 5+ years of industry Web application development experience, building consumer or business facing products.
• Experience in following best practices in writing reliable and maintainable code that may be used by many other engineers.
• Ability to keep up-to-date with new technologies to understand what should be incorporated.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in your day-to-day workflow for relevant outputs.
• Strong track record of critical evaluation and verification of AI-assisted work (e.g., testing, source-checking, data validation, peer review).
• High integrity and ownership: you protect sensitive data, avoid over-reliance on AI, and remain accountable for final decisions and deliverables.
