MetropolisNew York, NYThe Accounting Manager will oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, manage a team of accountants, and ensure adherence to US GAAP and internal controls. This role requires strong accounting experience and proficiency in ERP systems.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $120,000.00 USD to $155,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans, and more.
Own month-end close, accounting systems (Rillet, Ramp), controls, revenue recognition, and tax coordination as the first in-house Controller at an AI fintech startup. Partner with outsourced team, design scalable AI-leveraged processes, support FP&A and budgeting. CPA with 4+ years experience in venture-backed SaaS required.
Own accurate, on-time EMEA payrolls and provide operational coverage for APAC. Partner with Accounting, People Ops, and Benefits while managing local vendors across multiple countries.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and close processes. Ensure GAAP compliance, maintain internal controls, and support budgeting and investor reporting at a scaling AI startup.
Own credit risk strategy and acquisition channel optimization for co-branded credit cards. Define targeting criteria, build ROI models, and partner with risk, data science, marketing, and finance to balance growth and portfolio quality.
Strategic Finance Business Partner supporting Product & Engineering leadership to manage P&L, build financial models, and provide trade-off analysis for engineering spend in a SaaS/AI company. Requires 5+ years FP&A experience and comfort operating in ambiguous technical environments.
