Responsibilities
- Build the systems that power Fin’s flagship AI products, primarily in a machine-learning Python technology stack and occasionally across the Rails application.
- Work alongside ML Scientists to bring proof-of-concept code into robust, scalable production systems.
- Partner with product teams to shape AI-powered product experiences.
- Contribute to ideation, prototyping, implementation, and testing across the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in hiring, mentoring, and career development for other engineers.
- Raise technical standards for performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience shipping high-quality products.
- Strong software engineering skills; prior ML experience is not required.
- Demonstrated significant impact in previous work.
- Strong technical fundamentals, willingness to learn, and commitment to professional development.
- Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong willingness to pursue good outcomes and a bias toward progress over perfection.
- BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
