Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Build and improve systems that automate customer setup and deployment across cloud environments.
• Develop deployment workflows and infrastructure as code templates that mirror customer environments and reduce manual setup work.
• Improve support for complex deployment scenarios including BYO-VPC, customer-managed keys, airgapped environments, and custom-region deployments.
• Work on cloud account and project bootstrapping, authentication wiring, proxy and private networking, and deployment orchestration.
• Partner closely with Platform, Security, Product, and customer-facing teams to make deployments faster, safer, and easier to operate.
• Raise the quality, reliability, and coverage of our AWS and GCP deployment tooling over time.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in platform, infrastructure, or cloud-focused roles.
• Solid backend engineering fundamentals and the ability to work across infrastructure-heavy systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure in AWS, GCP.
• Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools.
• Strong networking fundamentals, including areas such as VPCs, subnets, routing, proxies, and private connectivity.
• Built or improved deployment automation, onboarding workflows, internal cloud platforms, or customer-environment setup systems.
• Ability to balance engineering rigor with pragmatism and excitement to turn complex setup problems into repeatable productized systems.
• Clear communication, strong collaboration across functions, and comfort taking ownership in an evolving environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with complex deployment scenarios (BYO-VPC, customer-managed keys, airgapped, custom-region).

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $200,000 - $270,000 annually (determined by location, level, knowledge, skills, and experience).
