Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end features for products where AI agents and humans collaborate.
- Build interfaces that present AI-generated output, uncertainty, and citations in trustworthy, usable ways.
- Work with political researchers, data scientists, and engineers to turn ambiguous problems into simple software.
- Use AI tools and coding agents to develop quickly while maintaining quality.
- Interview users and stakeholders to identify confusing, slow, or untrustworthy workflows and improve them.
- Develop systems that encode users’ political strategy goals and thought processes.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a product engineer, full-stack engineer, or designer-engineer hybrid.
- Portfolio of shipped products.
- Strong product and UX judgment, including the ability to critique flows, sketch alternatives, and explain tradeoffs.
- Experience using coding agents effectively without compromising quality.
- Hands-on experience building products with large language models, including chat interfaces, agents, or retrieval-augmented tools.
- Experience using human annotations to encode expertise into AI systems.
- Ability to work effectively on ambiguous problems.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the United States.
Nice to Have
- Visual and interaction design experience.
- Familiarity with Figma.
- Political or civic-tech experience.
- Interest in the progressive political ecosystem.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary: $110,000–$210,000, commensurate with experience.
